Bachelor of clinical pharmacology at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine in 2020, and Master of analytical chemistry at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2021. Starting PhD. study in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from 2022. Research Interest: non-invasive diagnostics technology, skin-surface diagnostics. 

Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

Current Ph.D. student in bioengineering (HKPFS awardee, 2022). Zibin obtained his BSc in bioengineering at The University of Melbourne. His research interests: Machine Learning based- wearable heart health devices (ECG), small molecule binding mechanisms, biomedical signal processing, CRISPR-based technology with molecular dynamics and simulations.  

Bioengineering

Yanan Li is currently a PhD student in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). She obtained her Master's degree from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2022. Her research interests lie in the area of nucleic acid detection and point-of-care testing (POCT).

Bioengineering

Xiaolong got his BSc and MSc in Chemistry at Shenzhen University. His research interest: CRISPR-based diagnostics such as virus detection and SNP genotyping, and other application based on CRISPR.

Bachelor of Materials Science and Engineering at Zhengzhou University in 2021, and Master of Materials and Chemicals at Jiangnan University in 2024. Xuemeng is currently a PhD student in Chemical and Biological Engineering and her research interest is the development of biomaterials for skin management.

Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

Bsc in Donghua University and Mphil in Xi’an Jiaotong University. Research area mainly focused on applying bioactive materials for skincare and chronic wound healing.

Bioengineering

BE in bioengineering at Tianjin University and pursuing the doctoral degree in the department of chemical and biomolecular engineering now (HKPFS awardee). Research area：CRISPR/Cas engineering and relative application.

Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

Yutian is currently a Ph.D. student in the Bioengineering Program（HKPFS awardee）. She earned her BSc with a double major in Biology and Nutrition from The University of Texas at Austin, followed by an MSc in the Bioengineering and Health Informatics (BEHI) program at HKUST. Her research interests focus on CRISPR-based technologies for diagnostics and therapeutics.

Xinmiao Kang obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Beijing University of Chemical Technology. She is currently a PhD student in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Her research interests focus on nucleic acid bioengineering and molecular diagnostics.
